Let me start by saying I’m truly sorry for the RSS issue. I had no idea the images stopped showing up in your feed until just last night. I spent several hours going through my settings, my ftp, feedburner, several readers, and what not. But I simply cannot figure out why it just stopped working.
I understand RSS is your preferred way of receiving notifications, and a lot of you prefer to receive the comic strip directly in your readers (albeit a version that’s half the size of the version available on the site). But I’m honestly stumped, and can only deduce something changed on the backend that’s beyond my scope of understand.
I’ll see if there are any RSS plug-ins that can force the image to go through, but I can’t make any promises.
Until then, clicking the link to get to the site is the only solution (which defeats the purpose of you using an all in one news reader, I know).
Another solution would be to use the website Comic Rocket for your webcomic needs. It’s like an RSS reader made specifically for webcomics. Have a play with it and see. I used to only read my comics through RSS because it made my life easy, but Comic Rocket offers a great interface and bookmarking system for webcomic reading, and has taken over my need for RSS, which I now only use for podcasting.
But I’m not here to promote another service. I truly believe in giving you as many options as possible, but unfortunately RSS isn’t performing the way it should. Hopefully it will be fixed down the line.
