I have a Pac-Man stress ball at work, for those moments when you just need to take a breather and goof off for just a couple of minutes. One day I was making the Pac-Man sounds as I walked from one side of the room to the other, when I pictured him chasing the Frumps. They do, kinda, look like long lost cousins of the ghosts that Pac-Man chased (not really, but the thought did amuse me).
So I decided to have a little fun with Pac-Man and put him into the Frump’s world.
This is also the very first strip I drew using Manga Studio, so in case you’re wondering why it looks a little rough this week, that’s why. Like with learning any new tool it took a while to figure out how to best use for my purposes. The following strips after this already show much improvement.

Pacman is awesome!
Never good idea to mess with Pac-man’s pellets!
NEVER!
P-P-P-P PACK POWER!
Remember the cartoon?
That actually does ring a bell.
LOOK OUT! HE’S RIGHT BEHIND YOU!!!
He’s coming right for us.
Why is Miss Pac-Man missing?! WHY!!!
I don’t know. But it’s probably the reason why Pac-Man has gone homicidal.
I never considered that the sound of the ghosts running was actually screaming. That is a disturbing revelation.
They probably had it coming. Right?
Their screams will be drowned out by sounds of “Game Over”!
Game over, man! Game over!
The one time Virgil doesn’t have his gun and he’s going to need it the most.
I don’t think a bullet would work on Pac-Man. Not THAT Pac-Man.
Yeah, I always liked the sound that game made! wikiwikwikiwiki…
The sounds are very memorable.
